The Manners of Supplication (cont.) (Twenty-Second chapter in the The Book of Manners by Fu’ad Ibn ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Ash-Shulhoob – publisher: Darussalam) 

1.    Begin with Praising Allah and Sending of Prayers upon His Messenger 

2.    Mentioning previous good deeds 

3.     Some supplications in the Quran and Sunnah 

4.    Supplicating right before the end of the prayer  

5.    Transgression in one’s supplication is forbidden 

6.    Actions that prevent one’s supplication from being answered 

7.    Being impatient for one’s dua to be answered 

8.    Eating from Haram wealth can be a reason for one’s dua not being answered
